Apple Pear Martini Goes to Elk River

Marybeth Heikes’ watercolor painting Apple Pear Martini will be exhibited in the Elk River “Arts in Harmony” 2007 show. This is the 12th annual national juried competition held at the Sherburne County Government Center in Elk River, Minnesota. The show opens February 5 and continues through March 30.

Stemware #4 Accepted At The Octagon

Marybeth Heikes’ watercolor painting Stemware #4 will be exhibited in the Octagon Center for the Arts’ 39th annual Clay, Fiber, Paper, Glass, Metal, Wood Exhibition. This year’s exhibit will feature 78 works of art by 59 artists across the country. The show opens February 2 with the reception and awards and continues through April 1, 2007.

Glass Abstractions #7 Gets The Blues

Marybeth Heikes’ watercolor Glass Abstractions #7 will be exhibited in the juried competition “Afternoon with the Blues” at the Sanford Museum in Cherokee, Iowa. This exhibit opens January 5, 2007 and continues through February 3. The reception and Gallery Talk will be January 14 at 2pm.

Chairs #122 Wins Top Prize

Marybeth Heikes was awarded the First Place Cash and Ribbon Prize in the Iowa Watercolor Society’s 28th Annual Exhibition on Sunday, September 11. Her winning transparent watercolor painting, Chairs Series #122, is part of her well-established “Chairs in the Jungle” series.

November Sunflowers Selected for “Iowa Exhibited 20”

An Afternoon With The Blues

Marybeth Heikes recently received an Honorable Mention award for her two collages in the show An Afternoon with the Blues. These acrylic collages, Iowa Series #50 and Iowa Series #59 are currently exhibited at the Sanford Museum in Cherokee, Iowa. This annual exhibit opened January 9 and continues through February 3.

Teapot Series #13 Wins Honorable Mention

Marybeth Heikes has received an Honorable Mention Award at this year’s Iowa Watercolor Exhibition for her painting Teapots Series #13. The painting was also selected to be part of the 2004-2005 Traveling Show.
